Creative Marketing Consultant – Video and Podcast series

Hill Start International Pty Ltd was established in 2012 and currently works with clients across two business units, executive recruitment and outsourced sales and marketing.

The recruitment business has worked with clients for over 10 years recruiting best in class talent for growing businesses across Melbourne and Victoria.

To continue to promote both our clients and candidates I wish to create a high-quality video interview and podcast series. The aim is to work with industry experts to discuss relevant, cutting-edge topics with both clients and candidates across specific fields of interest to the recruitment division.

With this in mind, we are looking for a person who can create and execute a creative marketing plan for a series of video interviews/ podcasts including all elements of content creation and video production. This person will then promote these interesting content pieces across social media channels, especially LinkedIn.

Specific duties will involve;

  • In conjunction with the Director formulate and plan a strategy for content creation across a video interview and podcast series.
  • Work with the Director to plan and deliver a series of video interviews and/or podcasts with selected speakers/guests.
  • Consider scripting, location and videography. Work with the Director and guests to get the best results from people who are essentially inexperienced with producing this sort of content!!
  • Identify suitable promotional channels, plan social media and digital advertising campaigns to distribute this content to a target audience.
  • Create and deliver an email marketing strategy to distribute content.
  • Set KPI goals for marketing outcomes.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies for making and running digital and social media advertising campaigns particularly focused on reaching a specific target audience. Deliver promotional campaigns using social media.

Ideally, you’ll have solid marketing knowledge with a specific focus on video and audio content creation. Consequently, you’ll likely be able to demonstrate:

  • Marketing qualification, most likely a degree or higher in a marketing related discipline.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of content creation, especially video and perhaps also audio. Experience of creating, managing and producing quality video and/or audio content will be required.
  • Exceptional copywriting capability, ideally with complementary design/scene setting skills. Likely coupled with video and audio editing/production capability.
  • Digital marketing experience of formulating a marketing plan and running quality advertising or organic promotional campaigns across digital channels to distribute content.
  • Able to work from the office in Preston.
  • Eligibility to work within Australia.

There is flexibility as to how this role will operate, perhaps initially on a part time 3-6 month contract or freelance basis (at 5 to 10 hours per week over 1-2 days per week as required) to allow for other projects, perhaps as a consulting assignment or as a freelancer. We have a nice office in Preston, which is easily accessible by public transport (train/tram) and has on street parking.
