Our client is a relatively new player in the commercial lighting sector, providing the highest quality commercial lighting products. With a truly entrepreneurial spirit the founders have previously grown substantial businesses both here in Australia and overseas and wish to replicate their success having identified a genuine opportunity in the lighting sector.

We are recruiting a talented and proactive sales professional to source new clients across Victoria and New South Wales. The role will focus on establishing business relationships with key lighting specifiers and purchasers, including electrical engineers, electrical contractors, architects and even wholesalers.

The role could be based from a home office and will involve scheduling and carrying out sales appointments with prospective customers. There is an office in Geelong and the role could be based here but if based from a home office, will require weekly visits to Geelong for team meetings.

Rarely does such an exceptional ground floor opportunity present itself. This is a key role to grow the business in VIC/NSW and consequently the successful person will be a highly valued team member.

Specific duties will involve;

  • Use existing prospective customer database and identify new prospective clients.
  • Schedule appointments and conduct sales meetings with prospective clients.
  • Generate orders from new clients. Continue to win ongoing orders from clients.
  • Three weeks in Victoria one full week in New South Wales.
  • Attend weekly management meetings and provide regular activity updates.
  • The opportunity to provide input into research and development/product development.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate;

  • Quality business development experience gained ideally selling technical products to commercial clients. Experience of selling lighting products or to electrical engineers or contractors will be highly regarded.
  • Proactive and compelling with excellent presentation capabilities.
  • Desire to represent exceptional quality products to win business in a competitive marketplace.
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • A desire to become part of an exceptional business success.
  • Able to work one week per month in New South Wales.
  • Eligibility to work within Australia.

The company is offering a quality remuneration package to attract the best. There will be a base salary as well as bonus and uncapped commissions. Also car or car allowance and business tools such as laptop and mobile phone.
